The co-founder of Imperia Online presented the award for Design and Usability
The best online businesses were announced at the awards ceremony of E-volution Awards 2016 – a digital business competition of Forbes magazine. 208 applications by 98 companies were submitted in the third edition of the contest.
Moni Dochev, co-founder and CEO of Imperia Online, presented the award to the winners in the Design and Usability category – eDesign for the photography website agataphotography.co.uk. “Being a part of the industry I know how difficult it is to find the balance between design and
usability for a website and I am extremely happy to present this award in particular”, said Moni Dochev – part of the renowned jury of the contest.
Forbes asked the jury whether the so called “unicorns” could be born in Bulgaria: super successful start-ups that are estimated to worth more than 1 billion dollars. “For a unicorn to emerge in Bulgaria, the company must be extremely mobile and digital” – according to Anna-Marie Vilamovska, secretary of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria for Innovation and Healthcare politics. “Having a hybrid – analogue production with digitalization, could cause problems. We need to change the reputation risk of Bulgaria.”
Imperia Online is an example of a quickly adapting mobile and digital company. It is part of the innovative companies in Bulgaria, shaping the IT image of the country through exchange of experience and development of the industry.
